It is our pleasure to welcome our Group’s method expert, Simon Marshall, who visited on October 25 to focus on large diameter bored pile techniques and production data, particularly noting that the use of Reverse Circulation Drilling (RCD) is less common in most other geological regions outside Hong Kong.
Large diameter bored piles excel at bearing ultra-high loads and adapting to complex geology. They are primarily used in heavy structure foundations and can also serve as retaining structures (e.g., secant bored pile walls). In Hong Kong, hammer grabbing (HG) combined with RCD are predominantly adopted for these piles to handle rock-dense ground.
Our team discussed soil analysis, production efficiency, design details, and construction methods with Simon. We also showcased specialized equipment such as grab, chisel, RCD rigs, and casing oscillators.
This cross-regional exchange has sparked valuable insights across the Group, perfectly aligning with our culture of shared expertise. A big thank you to Simon and our on-site team!
