On 20 May, BSGL took action as part of the global VINCI Construction's Safety Days 2026, marking our annual Safety Day across all workplaces under the theme "Plant–People Interface." 🚧🚛
This year's theme placed strong emphasis on the critical risks that arise when people and heavy equipment operate in close proximity.
Through management messages, site visits and practical sharing, we reinforced safe behaviors when people and heavy equipment operate side by side — from clear plant‑people separation to blind spot awareness and access control.
We revisited key hazards such as:
- Clear separation between 'Plant' & 'People'
- Awareness of Driver & Plant Operator Blind Spots
- Safe practices for Working at Height and Lifting Operations
- Access & Egress Control Measures
These reminders underscored simple but vital messages:
🚧 Stay visible and stay alert around moving plant.
🚧 Always pay attention to exclusion zones and access controls.
🚧 Never assume — always make eye contact and confirm.
We also recognized our frontline teams with Safety Performance Awards and shared our "BEE SAFE" soft toy keyholder souvenirs as a reminder that safety is everyone's responsibility.
Safety is not a campaign — it's a daily commitment.
