Project Description
Introduction
Cut-off walls are predominantly to provide an embedded low permeability barrier to mitigate the flow of groundwater and any contaminants that it may contain.
Due to the walls only act for water cut-off purpose without any load bearing function, they are generally formed by cement-based slurry without steel reinforcement. One of the most common type of cut-off walls is bentonite-cement slurry wall. Sheet pile wall is another common type of cut-off walls, subject to the ground condition and the required depth.
Highlights
Depending on the ground conditions and client requirements, Bachy Soletanche offers a large range of different techniques to construct the embedded cut-off walls, from Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM) to slurry wall.
